What is an Image Consultant?

An image consultant is someone who can give you advice that will help you achieve what you want - whether it is to get a new job, to make a good impression or to simply feel good about yourself. So get ready to feel empowered!

 

What sort of people see an image consultant?

Seeing an image consultant or stylist isn't just for celebrities! I've seen clients from all walks of life, from students and stay at home mums, to architects, social workers, public servants and company directors.

What they all have in common is the desire to feel more confident with the way they dress and to make shopping for clothes quicker and easier.

 

I don't think I can afford a consultation but I would still like some guidance. What should I do?

First, consider the cost of your current style habits. If you have a wardrobe full of clothes you don't like or never wear, you would be better off spending that money learning once and for all which colours and styles of clothes really suit you. Did you know that the average woman wastes over $4000 on clothes every few seasons? With that in mind can you afford not to make an appointment?

If the prices really are beyond you at the moment, have a look in the Resources section for some image manuals and ebooks filled with lots of helpful advice to get you started.

 

I don't have a credit card. Can I still buy any of your products?

Yes! I also accept payment by cheque or money order. Simply print off the Order Form here and post it together with your payment to the address shown. Please allow up to 5 working days for your payment to clear.

 

Do you come to me?

No, you come to me! I have a studio set up with everything we need. Please note the studio is not wheelchair accessible and there are stairs to walk up. If you have a medical condition that prevents you from coming to see me but you would still love some advice, please phone me 0412 032 731 to discuss your situation and I will do my best to help you.

 

I've never done anything like this before and I feel a bit nervous about coming to see you. Do you have any advice?

Please don't be nervous. Seeing an image consultant is a positive experience, and you will leave feeling confident and inspired. I have seen clients of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds, and aged from 18 to 80. A one-on-one consultation is completely private and all your details are held in the strictest confidence. What if I need more help after my consultation?

I am only a phone call or email away if you have any questions. And if you would like to come back and have another session, maybe you have a special occasion or interview to dress for, my base rate is $75 per hour.

 

Do you do personal shopping?

No. The aim of my consultations is to give you the skills and confidence to be able to shop quickly and effectively on your own. Each consultation includes comprehensive materials that you take home with you, so before too long you'll be shopping like a pro!

 

What qualifications do you have?

I completed internationally accredited image training in Body and Style Analysis, Image Development and Flow Colour Analysis through the Australian Image Company based in Melbourne.
